Snake Doctor is southern slang for "dragonfly," but in some contexts it could also mean "Mississippi Hoodoo Man." We're a group of guys who write music and record indie records, seriously influenced by the blues, but with country and jazz influences as well. The band formed in late 2002, has been performing since early 2003, and has been a regular feature on the Emerging Artist's Stage at the King Biscuit Festival every year since then. We were Memphis' entry in the International Blues Challenge in 2005, and we enjoy music more than just about anything else we could think of at the moment.
