4. How do I find an artist/album/song in the
DigStation catalogue?
If you know the name of the artist, album, or
song you are looking for, simply type it into
the Search Box located in the left-side navigation.
You can also browse for artists by genre of by
clicking on any letter in the alphabetical list
located near the top of most pages.
5. How do I purchase a song or album?
To order several tracks from an album, just check off the tracks you want to purchase on the album page and press the "Download Songs" button. To purchase an entire album, simply select the "Download Album" button located to the right of the album's cover artwork or at the bottom of the page.
6. How do I download an album or song?
Once you have selected an album or song for download you will be taken to your Cart. If you are ready to download your music, then click on “Checkout,” which will take you to the Download page.
To download songs: Simply click on the “Download” button on the same line of the song you want to download and the MP3 file will start downloading. Press the "save" button when you are prompted to select how to store your download. You will also need to specify where you want DigStation to download the file to by selecting the appropriate location on your computer.
To download an album: Albums are encoded as ZIP files that can be used on both Mac and PC. These files contain every track on the album and the album artwork. Press the green "Download" button on the same line of the album you want to download and press the "save" button when you are prompted to select how to store your download. You will also need to specify where you want DigStation to download the file to by selecting the appropriate location on your computer. (Do not choose your iTunes folder to save the zip file. You must uncompress the file before playing the songs in iTunes.) After the zip file has finished downloading, simply double-click on the file to begin the auto-expanding process. You do not need any additional software to unzip the file. You can then play the music in your audio player of choice.
7. I downloaded an album on a Mac and the zip file will not open? (zip.mp3)
Some of the Mac operating systems are adding .mp3 to the end of the zip file after it has downloaded to your computer. Please delete the .mp3 from the end of the file name. You can then open the file and uncompress the songs inside. Once the files are uncompressed you can then play them in itunes.
8. How do I download the album artwork?
DigStation makes the entire artwork for every album available as a PDF file.
The artwork is listed as the last “track” on an Album Detail page. If you order
an album, the artwork will be included with the ZIP file free of charge. If you
are only buying one song from an album and you also want the artwork, you can
select the artwork the same way you select a song. Note there is a cost of .99¢
for the album artwork when not purchasing the entire album.
Artwork is encoded as ZIP files that can be used on both Mac and PC. These files contain all of the art files from the album. Press the green “Download” button on the same line of the album art you want to download and press the “save” button when you are prompted to select how to store your download. You will also need to specify where you want DigStation to download the file to by selecting the appropriate location on your computer.

Any track over 1:30 in length within our catalogue is available for a 30-second preview before you order it.
10. I've selected music for download, but can’t
seem to find it.
You can find all songs you've selected for download in the section titled Cart. Once you’ve completed downloading a file, it's removed from the Cart and moved to your “Order History” located in the “Manage Account” section.
11. I was unable to complete downloading a song
or album.
If for some reason you are unable to complete a download, you can simply go back to your “Order History”. From there the songs or album that failed to download completely or were interrupted will still have a green download button. Simply click on the green button and start downloading the song or album again. Once an album is marked as complete you will not be able to download it again.
12. I have a problem with a file that was downloaded.
If there was a problem with a downloaded file,
contact
help@digstation.com to re-enable the download.
13. I've lost all of my files due to a hard disk
malfunction/crash. Is it possible to re-download
ordered files at DigStation?
While we sympathize with your situation, we do not provide this sort of
recovery service. We recommend backing up all of your downloaded music on a
hard drive or on CD or DVD. If you have not ensured your own backup in a
situation like this and wish to restore your DigStation files, you are required
to reorder them and pay again.
14. I want to change my personal information
(e-mail, city, username). How can I do this?
Your personal information such as your login,
e-mail address, payment information, etc. is stored
in our encrypted section. You will be prompted
to login using your current username and password

your existing information. To visit the My Account

15. Can I get original compact discs from
DigStation?
We do not sell Audio CDs, DVDs, SACDs, or CD-Rs.
16. I’ve downloaded music, but I cannot locate the Mp3’s on my computer. What should I Do?
Check your “order history” to see if the files finished downloading. (Note: you may have to logout of your account and then login again for your “Order History” to update with your new order). If the green download button is still available, your download was interrupted and you will need to start the download again. Please refer to: How do I download an album or song?
If your download is marked as complete in your “order history” and you download individual tracks:
Search your computer for artist’s name of the track(s) you downloaded. (the files may be located in a temporary folder) If the search results find the music you have downloaded, make sure you move the file(s) to a location on your computer you can easily locate in the future. (Temporary folders are automatically deleted)
If your download is marked as complete in your “order history” and you download a full album, your music could be in two different locations:
Search your computer for the word “DigStation” and you will find the .zip file (Digstation-ALBXXXXXXXX.zip) in a temp folder, or in a folder that your computer is directed to automatically send downloads. (The location of this folder can be found in the preferences on your computer.) You will need to extract the song files by double-clicking the .zip file, and move the content files, (the music and artwork), to a folder on your computer that you can easily located.
