| BIOGRAPHY |
| Stayte are Josh Bradford (vocals/lyrics) and Clayton Worbeck (guitar/electronics).
Their debut release ‘Growing Pains’ (1999, Nefer Records) placed Stayte at the fore of Canada’s industrial music scene. As their fan base spread across the west coast, Stayte headed for the bright lights of southern California.
Stayte released ‘Abandon in the Amber’ in 2002. This album propelled them to sell-out shows at legendary venues the Whisky and the Roxy. The hit single ‘Slip Your Mind’ came in at #1 on Radio306.com’s weekly countdown and #20 for Song of the Year in 2003. Stayte won Fender’s Battle Of The Bands in Las Vegas in 2004, rounding out a successful year on the road.
Stayte commenced work on the release ‘Cognitive Dissonance’ in late 2005. Collaborating on the EP was one of industrial music’s best, Paul Barker (ex-Ministry, Revolting Cocks).
At the same time, an ironic twist saw Josh and Clayton come to the attention of Ministry front man Al Jourgensen and his label, 13th Planet Records.
Josh and Clayton were recruited to perform with Al’s infamous side-project the Revolting Cocks, joining a fraternity of such luminaries as Jello Biafra, Gibby Haynes and Trent Reznor.
In 2006 the Ministry/ RevCo ‘MasterBaTour’ hit 58 cities across North America. As lead vocalist, Josh wowed audiences, and the LA show earned the tour a rare 5 ‘K’ review in Kerrang Magazine. The tour was a coup for Stayte. Josh and Clayton won over new fans every night, and sales of ‘Abandon in the Amber’ skyrocketed.
After the tour, Stayte launched back into ‘Cognitive Dissonance’ and completed the six song EP in the fall of 2007. Never ones to be idle, Clayton became the official ‘In-House Remix Master’ for 13th Planet Records and in less than a year remixed 24 tracks spanning 3 albums for Revolting Cocks and Ministry (‘Cocktail Mixxx’ [2006], ‘Rio Grande Dub’ [2007] and ‘The Last Sucker’ [2007]). As well, Josh’s vocals talents can be heard on both ‘The Last Sucker’ and the upcoming Ministry release ‘Cover Up’ [2008].
After all their work with 13th Planet Records, Stayte has been welcomed by ‘Uncle’ Al to the roster of 13th Planet artists. Stay tuned to Stayte’s myspace.com page for updates on the their 13th Planet debut ‘The Two Sisters’ [spring 2008].
