What’s Going On? Our Fire Is Burning! …or as Swampadelica likes to say “S’ac Passe? N’ap Boule!” Good things are happening all around for the band. Lead vocalist Nadine LaFond is singing on moe.’s new album “Sticks & Stones”, and singing on tour with moe.. (including an appearance on Mountain Stage with moe., & Ani DiFranco). Nadine is also slated to sing on a 'Phish related' studio project in the near future. Guests such as the legendary Bernie Worrell (P-Funk, Talking Heads keyboardist) and Railroad Earth’s Andy Goessling have been showing up and sitting in at Swamp’s live shows… and a new full length album is being released in March. With the upcoming release of S’ac Passe?, Swampadelica’s fire is no doubt burning. Swampadelica has artfully established its own voice in today’s open ended music scene by blending and bending Haitian roots with electric Americana, Soul and Funk. Swamp’s instrumentation wires this multi-cultural blend with a wide sonic palette created by a modified & mutated Hammond B-3, electric guitar and wooden world instruments such as the Hindehoo, Udu and Kalimba. This modern sonic bed gives Nadine LaFond a launch pad from which she simply rocks the house. Imaginatively and emotionally weaving her native Haitian Creole with English, Nadine LaFond is a fevered and spiritual performer who’s fire is ablaze and spreading. Founding member Damian Calcagne surfaced from the Northwestern NJ scene that spawned Railroad Earth. Damian toured with RRE frontman Todd Sheaffer in their predecessor From Good Homes. Damian, Nadine, guitarist Brian Herkert and bassist Paul Kuzik form the song writing team that creates Swampadelica’s signature song catalogue. These four friends have developed a dialogue that is the center of Swampadelica’s musical voice. The band is happy to have Bill Rust now on drums. Bill is best known for his sound design work with Madonna & BT.
